Tarrant County's Credit Union offers academically-motivated student members who demonstrate a desire to continue their education, whether at an accredited two-year or four-year college or a vocational/technical school, the opportunity to apply for scholarship awards.
Since the inception of the program in 2003, TCCU has awarded over 55 scholarships to graduating high school seniors and returning undergraduate students.
Scholarships are awarded for the academic year (beginning in the fall semester), based on student’s membership in the credit union and an essay or video submission. Scholarships are not based on the student’s grades or extra-curricular activities.
The number of scholarships awarded is based on the number of applications received.
Awards are paid directly to the student’s school of choice, for discretionary use to assist with educational expenses.
